The Finger Joint board is a woodworking joint that resembles having interlaced, finger-like projections on the ends of the joined wood, hence the name “finger joint.” In general, FJ add strength to the product as there is maximized gluing surface thereby maximizing the strength of the joint. And there is less warping due to the use of shorter pieces of wood. The FJ is not visible from the top.
